Request: International Day of Peace
This Sunday in my congregation we will be celebrating the International Day of Peace, which is technically September 21st. I am looking for stories, short vignettes about peace that would do for a segmented message on Sunday. Does any one know of some good stories, good 'peace resources'?

On The Hunger Site (www.thehungersite.com), there are often quotes from world leaders along the lines of, "As long as there is hunger, we cannot have peace." Nothing long enough to be considered a story, though.
I also like "Love and Peace Or Else" from the latest U2 CD... but our band isn't feeling quite bold enough to cover U2 in church yet...
And, an illustrator friend of mine, Karen Blessen, collaborated on a children's book that tells how World Peace Day came about, entitled "Peace One Day." You can buy it on Amazon.
Hope one of these ideas inspires!
thanks for the help - ah, u2 - can't go wrong with u2!
